Mike and Sarah heard the scream stop. Mike looked beside him and found that Sarah had disappeared. Mike felt something brush against his leg. He looked down and saw it was the cat. Then, the cat fell down a trapdoor. Mike stepped down the trapdoor into a big tunnel and fell down on Sarah. She yelled and pushed him off. Mike flew onto the cat. He cried because the cat bit him. Mike came back to Sarah and they kept on walking.
In the big tunnel under the mansion they came into a big room filled with ghosts and spooks! The ghosts and spooks saw Mike and Sarah. They started chasing them around the room. They tried to get out the door but it had been locked. The ghosts and spooks kept getting closer, and Mike and Sarah ran into a closet. They found a ghost vacuum and Mike said," This ought to work." So he jumped out and sucked away all the ghosts. Now only the spooks were left. Then Sarah remembered that if you made a spook think hard it would disappear. Some of the ghosts had been playing chess, so they made the spooks play chess and they disappeared.
Then, one of the spooks reappeared and Mike and Sarah screamed and ran. They ran up two flights of stairs. They jumped out a window and ran all the way home. Mike and Sarah told their friends and were afraid of ghosts and spooks from that point on.
